Beadchicks

ellie

Ellie Roy is the original Beadchick. Owner of Argenta Bead Company…

nicole

Nicole Young is the beginning beaders dream at Argenta Bead Company. Almost every new beader at ABC comes into contact with Nicole. Whether it’s through an Introduction to Bead Stringing class, a private lesson or an ernest conversation, Nicole has gotten more people excited about beads than there are Delica beads in a kilo.

laura

Laura Neale is our resident wire goddess and world traveler. She’s in China right now but she’ll be back for the summer.  Be sure to stop in and say hello while she’s here.

brandy

Brandy Thomason is one of our newest Beadchicks but she’s one of the most experienced.  She worked for years at Crescent Moon Beads in Eureka Springs and has her own jewelry line, Belle Vita.  Check out her pieces for sale in the gallery, take one of her classes or come pick her brain for one of your own projects.

tracy

Tracy Ferguson is our leather organic Beadchick. She even remembers how to macrame hemp.

sophie

Sophie Hollenberg may be one of the youngest Beadchicks but she is one of the most experienced. Keep your eyes open and you’ll be sure to see her designs in local boutiques.

emily

Emily Jones is our bravest bead chick. We can’t recall having seen someone so unafraid to get dirty and to clean. Emily makes cute jewelry AND vacuums. Wow.

alliperkins 1

Alli Perkins sees beading as a form of artistic relaxation for her. She enjoys seeing the final products, and the looks on people’s faces when she makes projects for them. It gives her a sense of accomplishment. Her favorite bead is anything faceted, especially Swarovskis.

vivkiwang Vicki Wang enjoys the brightly-colored mental landscape that beading offers. When she buys beads, she gets really excited because she knows what she’s going to do with them. When she’s finished, she has something she can be proud of, because she made it herself. Her favorite beads are pearls, because of the variety of colors.

wren

Wren Ward was the first Beadchick to come work with Ellie. She started when she was a Sophomore at Mount St. Mary’s and recently graduated college. Wren may be gone but will never be forgotten. Not only her smile but her creativity still inspires us all.
